What types of drug testing do you do?

How fast can I get my results?

We founded Burlington Labs because we understand that prompt drug screen results can make a huge difference in medical and substance abuse treatment. If quick results are important to you, we recommend ordering a urine drug screen. Any urine sample received in our Burlington lab by 3 pm will have results delivered that same day. If we receive a urine specimen after 3pm, the results are usually available by noon on the next business day.

Hair follicle drug tests may take up to one week for results to be issued.

Confirmation tests, a test available after you receive initial screen results, are a bit more in depth than initial screens.  Results for confirmations are usually available within 3-5 business days.

We are also a collections site for pre-employment and DOT testing. But, because Federal regulations require the testing to be completed at one of a few SAMHSA-approved labs, samples are processed at a reference laboratory, and results can take up to one week to return.

Are you able to do pre-employment drug testing?

Burlington Laboratories is a pre-employment drug testing collection site.  You may come in to our office to have the collection process completed.  Your specimen is then securely packaged and expedited to a SAMHSA approved laboratory.  Because there are only a few SAMHSA approved laboratories in the United States, the results can take up to one week to receive.

Do you do DOT (Department of Transportation) or Coast Guard testing?

As with pre-employment testing, we are able to complete collections for DOT and Coast Guard drug tests.  You may come in to our office for collection.  We then partner with approved laboratories to complete the testing on your sample.  Results for your test can take up to one week to be returned.

How much do the tests cost?

Whether you’re ordering a drug test as a counselor, probation officer, doctor or parent, we’re sensitive to budget constraints, and we make every effort to make sure our tests are affordable for those who need them. Prices vary based on the service you choose. For more information on pricing, please give us a call at 1-888-378-4645.

We accept major credit cards, most insurance plans, cash or check. We’re happy to set up payment plans for extended services. Again, please contact us for more details.

Do you accept health insurance?

We accept most health insurances accompanied by an order from a medical doctor.  Discussing treatment options with your doctor is a good idea.  The doctor's office should then contact us with an order to coordinate services.

It's a good idea to contact your doctor, or our offices at 802-863-4105 to make sure appropriate paperwork for a standing order has been submitted before your first visit.

Is it easy to beat a drug test?

Some individuals who have never been tested in a laboratory may believe it is easy to “outsmart” a drug test.  However, Burlington Laboratories urine testing panels are designed to test for common adulterants an individual may use to cover up recent drug use.  If a patient has employed a ‘cover-up method’, such as a flush kit, our tests will inform you of this.

We also offer to observe any collection done at our facilities.  This can further reduce any suspicion that a patient might be trying to ‘beat a drug test’. If you’re completing your own collections, here are some tips for successful urine collection.

There are no known adulterants for a hair follicle test.  See more information here>>.
